Why the evacuation window comes before the price
Most operators lead with a photo. We lead with the number that tells you how far help is.
Every route page on this site follows the same order: evacuation window, then isolation level, then price. That ordering is deliberate, and it is the single rule we have broken the fewest times in building this company.
The evacuation window is the number of hours between a serious incident and the point a casualty reaches definitive care. It is a function of geography and weather, not of how much you paid. On a route with a 36-hour window, that is true whether you are in the group's most experienced member or its newest. Printing it first says, before anything else, that this number does not move for anyone.
We have turned down partnerships with operators who wanted the medevac window in a footnote, or behind a 'request info' form. If a number changes how someone should feel about a trip, it belongs at the top of the page, not the bottom.
This is also why our application form asks about fitness and medical history before it asks for payment details — the two forms are inversely ordered from what most booking sites do, and the difference is not accidental.
